ABOUT US

About 6 years ago, we had this dream and vision of bringing the Taiwanese culture of shared dining and promoting satisfaction and affordability in New Zealand.

This November, Formosa, the Asian fusion inspired restaurant is celebrating its first year. Starting from scratch and with no former business experience, we managed to run Formosa with a lot of hard work, heaps of patience, tons of inspiration and great passion from each and every member of our team.

 

Opening something new is easy – keeping the excitement is harder. Every day must be better than the day before to make sure we live up to our guests’ expectations. It’s like every day is a new launch. Every little detail must be perfect and well thought of especially the ambience, the food, and the service - everything that creates and embodies Formosa. We will continue to serve you with the different functions and events that you require, may it be an intimate dinner date, a family gathering, or a company event. We have three dining areas to choose from, each with its own unique character, for your specific needs.

We are very thankful for the overwhelming support from our customers and we want to give back to the community in the best way that we can.
